The (non) Dichotomy
I wanted to make a series of photos exploring loving relationships and how love and pain manifest themselves in said relationships. Love and Pain should be a dichotomy, but it often comes hand in hand.
Growing up, healthy relationships were not present in my home life or pop culture so I wanted to explore how the dichotomy of love and pain manifests in all kinds of relationships. This is also a universal experience so I made it not unique to one specific couple, so personal details aren’t present in the photos. All that is present in these photos is skin and hair, I wanted the images to be just human and eliminate any outside textures that would distract from the physicality and body language of the models.
